Faculty Training & AI Integration
Through the Center for Teaching and Learning, faculty across disciplines are engaging in hands-on workshops, webinars, and peer-led communities to explore ethical, effective AI-enhanced teaching.
Secure, Responsible AI Use
With leadership from the Office of Information Technology (OIT), we ensure FERPA-compliant, enterprise-level AI access for faculty, staff and students. Our focus: equitable, secure and scalable implementation.
AI Policy & Curriculum Design
Our Generative AI policy guides academic use while supporting instructional flexibility. UTD is embedding AI into syllabi, creating student-facing guidelines and developing new course offerings.
Cross-Campus Collaboration
The AI Working Group, Academic Affairs, and the Academic Senate are working together to break down silos, share best practices and foster innovation across schools and disciplines
Community Events & Engagement
From the Week of AI to classroom experiences, UTD is hosting campus-wide events and partner-led sessions with Microsoft, Adobe and others to raise awareness and celebrate innovation in artificial intelligence.
AI Research at UTD
UT Dallas is home to nationally recognized, interdisciplinary AI research centers and labs. Our faculty and students tackle real-world challenges in:
- Human-AI collaboration
- Biomedical data science
- Natural language processing
- Ethical AI and algorithmic bias
- Workforce automation and education
Flagship research units include the Center for Applied AI & Machine Learning and the Human Language Technology Research Institute, with funding from federal agencies and industry partners.
AI Degrees, Certificates & Bootcamps
UTD’s AI academic ecosystem includes undergraduate, graduate and professional programs designed to prepare students for leadership in a digital-first world:
- BS/MS in Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (Naveen Jindal School of Management)
- MS in Computer Science with AI/ML specialization (Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science)
- MS in Artificial Intelligence for Biomedical Sciences (launching fall 2025)
